About The Event

This September, polish up your accent training OR learn the NEW accents you’ve been meaning to learn! In addition to 4 practice monologues selected for your type, receive 4 breakdowns of accents--chock-full of tips regarding placement, intonation, and sound changes--plus, resources to help you study up.

Whatever the audition or project, a knowledge of these regions can help an actor out in a pinch. While no prior experience is necessary, it should be noted that this is an intensive class--bring a willingness to work.

Week 1: Introductions / Basic IPA / Intro to NYC

Week 2: NYC monologues + Intro to London Accents

Week 3: London monologues + Intro to American Southern

Week 4: American Southern monologues + Intro to Chicago

Week 5: Chicago monologues + Mulligan Day!

About the Instructor:

V. Reibel is a native of Louisville who has returned from Houston, TX with a Masters in Acting from the University of Houston. She is trained in acting by the PATP (Professional Actor Training Program). V. will be available at the Audition Room for accent coaching, stage acting coaching, movement, character development, and continuing acting education classes.
