About The Event
Improv training is one of the most valuable tools for actors. The ability to play within a given set of circumstances creates organic, engaging characters that help bring a client’s vision to life.
In Improv 201, new and experienced actors will dive deep into how to utilize improv skills to improve their auditioning and ensemble work. This exploration centers around improvisatory character work (both physical and internal) that can be crafted to enhance a given scene and aid in successfully communicating a precise and compelling story.
This class integrates group games, mock auditions, and individual exercises to strengthen:
• Listening Skills
• Confidence
• Mindfulness
• Self-Expression
• Character Development
• Physicality/Body Language
• Stage Presence
WHEN: Saturdays, May 11, 18, 25, June 1
TIME: 1pm-3pm
PARENTS: Drop kids off, pick up at 3. They're welcome to bring a drink/snack and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes.

About the Instructors:
Sarah East (owner, The Audition Room) is a working actress and member of the Screen Actors Guild. After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 2005, Sarah spent time in New York City performing sketch comedy and improv before moving to Louisville, where she's grown her theatrical and on-camera resume to include nearly 100 Co-Star, Spokesperson, and Principal credits in film/TV, commercial, and live shows. Having worked as Audition Coordinator and Acting Coach with the region's top talent agency for more than a decade, Sarah knows the casting process from the inside out. Her work as a private acting coach has been credited with helping countless students and adults book on-camera roles in box office feature films, episodics, independent projects, and commercials.
Neil Mulac owns and operates Everything Cinema Productions, where he writes and produces custom scenes, monologues, and voice over demos for professional actors. He attended the University of Louisville and has been performing in improv groups and teaching comedy for years. He's made a name for himself in the local theatre scene and can be seen on commercials and films.
