The Audition Room

KIDS Calming the Actor's Mind

You ever get into an audition and you feel like your heart is about to explode out of your chest? Your palms get really sweaty, and overall you have feelings of dread and despair when it comes to auditioning? Cool. Us too. But it’s okay because there are ways to help actors breathe and relax.

About The Event

You ever get into an audition and you feel like your heart is about to explode out of your chest? Your palms get really sweaty, and overall you have feelings of dread and despair when it comes to auditioning? Cool. Us too. But it’s okay because there are ways to help actors breathe and relax, so we can be truthful and open in the moment. Using movement and vocal exercises combined with mindfulness and meditation, we’ll spend one hour clearing the mind of self-doubt and stress so we can live and maximize the truth inside every one of us. We will be doing a lot of floor work so space is limited to 5 seats. Bring a towel or a yoga mat if you desire.
