ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Katie Folger is an acclaimed actor, writer, and artist who is based in New York City and Austin. She is best known for her starring role as ‘Meredith’ in Rooster Teeth’s Streamy Award winning sci-fi series DAY 5 (EL REY, SKY TV). Other TV credits include a recurring role in Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey series FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. She will next be seen in a starring role in Berlin Festival alum Micah Magee’s and Johan Carlsen’s DEATH ON THE STREETS.

She recently wrapped a six month long sketch comedy season at THE MAGNET, her NYC stage debut, and trained under Amy Poehler herself at Upright Citizens Brigade. 

In the feature space, her credits include Andrew Bujalski’s RESULTS which debuted at Sundance and starring roles in Karen Skloss’s THE HONOR FARM and Emily Hagins’s GROW UP, TONY PHILLIPS which premiered at SXSW. Her breakout role was in ZERO CHARISMA which won SXSW’s Audience Award.

Inspired by her experiences as a woman on set, time at the Sundance Labs, and a longtime mentorship with Robert Redford, Katie co-founded DYNAMITE SISTERS, a production company in which Folger writes, directs, and stars in female-driven satirical content with her creative partner. She is represented by Untitled Entertainment.
