About the class:
Cold reading is an essential skill for professional actors. In this four week lab, you will exercise your "in the moment" muscles through a series of mock auditions, covering commercials, spokesperson, tv, and film.
When it comes to booking on-camera work, it doesn't matter if you've had years of professional training or if you're just starting out. All that matters is what you do in the audition room, when the pressure is on and you have one shot to impress the client. The only way to improve your audition skills is through experience.
Cold reading is an essential skill for professional actors and it’s a muscle you need to work as often as possible. Each week, actors will do mock auditions for on-camera projects in 2-4 of the following categories:
· TV Shows
We’ll tape your cold reads and send the footage to you, along with some professional feedback. Drop in for one week or come often to sharpen your skills!
